  1. The environment is the SELECTING agent by putting varying selective pressures on the organism.

    Sexual selection is another selective pressure.


  2. The environment is not directly effected by natural selection.  The only relationship I can think of is that if an animal that only ate one specific plant became extinct, then the plant would flourish and this could have an effect on the environment where the plant is.

  3. As members of the Animal Kingdom, we ARE part of the environment.

    Natural Selection takes place in both the Animal & Plant Kingdoms, but not the Mineral Kingdom!
