  1. Simple,

    The increase in population means more resources are needed to sustain that population. This is called population boom, when more resources are used up indirectly more of the environment we eat into. Lets face it, a large percentage of resources comes from the environment. This resources can be in many modes, food, shelter, medicines, personal items etc.

    To add, and increase in population also means and increase in pollution.  


  2. depends on the development of your country...........

    when china was self contained it had lower rate of needs as it controlled all its resources.

    while in a deloped country like usa or england the demand for resources is radically more intense.
