  1. Betelgeuse is of course huge, but if you're thinking it's big, watch these videos:

  2. Betelgeuse is much larger in terms of volume.  Canopus is about 65 times larger across than the sun, and Betelgeuse is 630 times larger.  This means that Betelgeuse has almost 1000 times as much volume.

    However, Betelgeuse is a very un-dense star, so their stellar masses are much more similar.

  4. I think that Betelguese is the larger of the two, and perhaps the closest!  Both are classified as "red giants", however Canopus is "F" class and is more white looking, of course that's because it's further away!
