I know he asked Charlie Gibson from ABC, Katie Couric from CBS, and one more gentleman whose name I did not catch today . If anyone knows his name, please include it in your response. Thanks!

  1. Another politically savvy move by Obama.  This is his first trip to Iraq which is something that McCain has been blasting him over.  By inviting the the best from each of the three major networks (you knew Fox wouldn't be invited anyway), he will get maximum coverage to show that he is all over the Iraq issue.

Watch for other key moves like a major speech while he is there during prime-time and lots of face time with the troops.  Maybe even a hospital visit to emphasize the casualty rate.

  2. Brian Williams of NBC is the other one. By inviting the three major network anchors, Obama figures to get maximum coverage. And all will go because one would be afraid of getting scooped by the other two.

  3. Obama (The clever "Dude" that He IS), want's ALL the free publicity He can GET when He goes on His Overseas Trip next week... -So He's invited a MAJOR Anchor from EACH of the Networks -just to make SURE they put Him & news about His trip in their Headlines on the Evening News every night whilest He's away... Now wasn't THAT Thoughtfull of Him ??!   I bet the McCain campaign is going to think it was!  :)

  4. Katie Couric has the brain of a farm animal.
