What is the reputation of South Indian bank? is it a safe bank to put your money in for a fixed deposit?

this limit of 1 lack is not confined to south indian bank alont, this is a regulation for all banks including the biggest, state bank of india

It is a Scheduled Bank and yes, FDs are totally safe. RBI guarantees it.
