  1. You don't need to send them a portfolio, since you picked FMM (Fashion Merchandising Management)  http://fitnyc.edu/html/admissions/HowDoI...  that link should help you with the stuff you need in order to apply.  Most of the people who I know that applied had good grades in high school. Like high 80's and above.

The campus is in Chelsea, and the neighborhood always has somehing going on.  There's tons of art galleries and places to shop (if you're into that).  There's also a lot of little restaurants around the area.

They have a lot of clubs and organizations.  http://www.fitnyc.edu/aspx/Content.aspx?...

That's a link to FITSA (FIT Student Association).  They deal with all the cubs and specail events held at the school.

F.I.T has a lot of females.  If you have a class, most likely there will be like 2 males. lol   There's a lot of differnt people at FIT.  Some s****. and some down to earth.  You can probably say that for most schools.  Most of the professors actually work as they teach at F.I.T, so they have a lot of experience.

I'm in AMC (advertising and marketing communications), but I know a few people in FMM.  Like most of the majors at F.I.T, it's highly competitive.  You also learn a lot, and you learn it from people in the field.  Most students complain about the work load, but if you don't procrastinate that much you'll be fine.

http://www.fitnyc.edu/aspx/Content.aspx?...  That's basically the classes you would have to take, if you go into the FMM program.  That's just the core classes though.  Not the liberal arts classes like English and stuff.

    Good luck, if you apply.

  2. AAS

High school students must apply to the Fashion Merchandising Management AAS program; they may not apply to the BS program.

    BS

    * Graduates of FIT's Fashion Merchandising Management AAS program are eligible to apply to the BS program.

    * Transfer students from other colleges are eligible to apply directly to the Fashion Merchandising Management BS program if they will earn an associate's or bachelor's degree at a regionally accredited college in a fashion merchandising management program that is precisely equivalent to the FIT Fashion Merchandising Management AAS program or if they will have earned at least 60 credits toward a bachelor's degree in a precisely equivalent program at a regionally accredited college before enrollment at FIT.

    * A college program is precisely equivalent if it contains the same major area and liberal arts distribution as the FIT Fashion Merchandising Management AAS program. Transfer students from college programs that are not precisely equivalent to the Fashion Merchandising Management AAS program must apply to the AAS program.

    * Please note that FIT AAS students receive priority admissions consideration.
