the lovers in the book were Iris Chase and Alex Thomas

it ended w/Iris saying she wrote all this down for her grand-daughter Sabrina so that she knows about her past. she has no Chase blood in her and Richard Chase was not her grandfather. Alex Thomas was, so basically she can be whoever she would like cause Iris doesnt know about Alex's background
