Sport bikes with 300, 260, 240 tire sizes are these just trailer queens(show-bikes) or are they actual bikes that can be ridden hard for normal use in the city, I know that they are not built for extreme curves. So is all they do is sit around and look good and go slow or can you really ride them in every day usage and weekend fun.

  1. Well to use it as a sport bike is intended railing around corners, those wide tires are useless.

  2. they aren't terribly difficult to ride...

they just don't have the same handling their properly tuned counterparts have...

pretty good for drag racing though....

  3. basically they are for show. They handle like c**p. When you get above 190 you can forget handling. Some guys ride them but it's a waste.

With drag racing there's a give and take. The bigger the contact surface on the back tire, the better the grip is for a good launch. On the adverse, once going, a large contact surface makes you run slower. At high speeds the tires should just be skimming the pavement.
