Is there a manual somewhere that says what the ratio of food to formula that your baby should be eating? My son is ten months old, and he eats 4oz of formula and 4-6oz of solid food per meal, does that sound right? How do you know how much is the right amount?

This is in average but every baby is different. When they eat solid it formula decreasese so the amout will be around 1-3 oz less than what he was taking before starting solid. Just give formula everytime you offer solid.

  2. That sounds fine.  I gave formula between meals.  He would have: formula, breakfast, formula, lunch, formula, dinner, formula.  He was drinking 25-30 oz a day if I remember correctly.  He was a big drinker ... my nephew drinks barely half that amount.  It depends on the baby!
