What is the right bird for me?

i want a bird thats fairly big, big eniugh for a cat not wanting to eat it. I want a bird that can say stuf but does not repeat stuff over and over again all day and all night. What bird should I get.

  1. ive heard that blue and gold macaws can talk a little but not a lot, and are big


  2. Regardless of the size of the bird, the cat will likely want to attack it -regardless of 'eatability'.  Remember domestic cats don't really hunt for food, they hunt for the fun of it.

    If a bird talks, it's probably going to say what it knows over and over and over again.   There's no guarentee weather or not a bird will talk, or won't talk.   And unless there's lights on, the bird probably won't talk all night.

  3. I would say NO bird is right for you. Birds don't carry on conversations. They learn words and phrases and you can't control whether or not they'll repeat it over and over and over. So, if you talk dirty in its presence, expect to hear the same words coming out of that bird's mouth. All. Day. Long.
