  1. This really depends on how much space you have for the tv and how far away you will be watching it.

42" is great if you have the space and sitting more than 3-4 meters away.

I would maybe suggest 32"-37" though as this will dramatically bring the price down and you will be more than happy.

Prices can vary a lot depending on the size and quality. Rather get slightly smaller but better quality. Go to a retail store and have them show you all their tvs working side-by-side so that you can compare.

Have them display STANDARD DEFINITION on the screens as that will be the majority of shows you watch. Almost all tvs will look good in HD so it's not what you want to see when buying.

  2. I recommend a wide-screen 20' inch. I know 20' doesnt sound big but when its a widescreen it makes the difference and seems bigger.

It's not your home therefor your keeping a tv inside your bedroom. 42' sounds too big. Id go with something 20' to 30'. After all you wont be

living in your parents house forever right? Think about how hard it

would be to move it if it was a big one.

42' are probably around $500 and up. 20 to 30 can be $100 to $300.

Save money, save space in your room.

  3. I recently bought a 19" Samsung 6 series for my room, as it is fairly small, i'd suggest somewhere between 19"-26" for your room, 42" is a bit excessive

  4. samsung 32 inch lcd hdtv- the best
