  1. Try to not spend too much money on a tennis racket. There is an old saying in tennis. You can have a bad racket with great stings and be able to have great success. But if you have an expensive racket with cheap strings then you will have a crappy performing racket. With that said. With all that said let me suggest a light racket, maybe a 10.5. Also a stiff racket which can give you better control. What ever you decide make sure you can return the racket if you are unhappy with it's performance. Wilson and Babolat make some of the best in versatile rackets.

  2. There are a lot of racquet right for you Jenna. My advice to you is don't go out and spend a $130 racquet and end up don't like it BUT RATHER go to a pro shop or a local tennis recreation center and try out ALL DEMOS and see which is comfortable for you and then you can spend a $130 racquet without regretting it.  I can guaranteed that you will find one after demos.  It usually costs 1 dollar for a day per racquet or 5 dollars per week. Also, a midplus or an oversize, light racquet would help you.  Let's me know how it's turn out :)>

  3. for power, find a racket with low tension

for control, find a racket with high tension

  4. I would go with the prince hybrid shark.  Good blend of power and control and it is light for a begginer.  You should demo it before you buy it.  You can get it at tennis-warehouse.com.  I think it is about 60 dollars or something like that.  It may seem a bit expensive for a begginer's racket, but it will last you a while unllike a 20 dollar racket from target.  Hope that helps.

  5. it really doesn't matter...don't buy a cheap one but don't buy an expensive one...before you but one check the grip (grips come in all different circumferences)
