What is the right way to ask a girl out?

I've had a crush on a girl at my school for almost three years now and I was always too shy to ask her out. Over the years, though, she did at least get to know who I am but I've been thinking over the last month of finally asking her out. We're not friends by any means but I should point something else out before anybody gives me a straightforward answer.

You see, I was in a brief relationship with someone else this year and that person well and truly broke my heart and I've been treating them quite badly since then. But to stir the mixture up even more, that person that broke my heart is the best friend of the girl I want to ask out. And I think because of the way I treated her friend she'd want nothing to do with me. But I'm not going to do what I did to her with I did with her friend because they're two completely different people.

I just want to able to ask her out on a straight date without her caring about what I did to her friend or having a false perception of me from events in the past. Can someone give me some advice on this?

  1. She isn't going to hate you just because of what you did to her best friend so don't worry about that.

Just worry about how you're gonna ask her out!

I think just go for the straight approach. Start talking to her, flirt abit then say "Do you wanna go out sometime?" Its that simple!

    Good luck.
