There is always risk with any form of operation, your mum must decide if her quality of life would be worsened and to what extent if there was a problem, I would only ever recommend one eye at a time, that way she will still have some sight if it does go badly, hard choice do your research on the company and check how long the company has been carrying out laser surgery, the problem is if a company gets a bad name and starts to lose credibility they can move change there name and start all over again, there have been many thousands helped but it must be you mums decision.
