What is the risk of my child playing with another who has Hepatitis B?

My child has had the injections.

I don't know the form of Hep-B the other has.

  1. A child with Hep B? Wow. The risk is pretty low for your child. Advise your child not to touch any open wound or sore that the other child may have. The fact that your child has received the vaccine should offer some protection from HepB. However, to reduce the risk, tell your child not to share food or drinks with this child, as there is a very small risk of spreading thru saliva. HepB is usually spread by contact with infected body fluids, i.e. blood, f***s, etc.
