  1. It is a PVR (Personal Video Recorder) as this is the terminology used by Rogers.  It is commonly known as a DVR in the U.S.


  2. I don't think it's a PVR, I'm pretty sure that it's a DVR, (Digital Video Recorder) On this, you can record shows, and also pause and rewind back to a part of a show that you are watching.
