What is the role of individual, country and the world in conservation and preservation of environment?

As this one individual see's it.  Once I have bought it, its mine.

What I do with it, is up to me.

Individual responsibility is the only way. Governments and organizations can teach that to individuals, or force them to behave in a certain way, but in the end it really is only up to individuals.

Anything you do has consequences that extend beyond you. Even small personal acts can make a difference, whatever the neighbor is doing. Not realizing this and counting on some external, providential force to fix the mess is the main environmental problem is America nowadays.
