  1. Animals raised for meat are mostly herbivorous.  Cows are fed grains such as corn and maize  from which they make protein.  Giraffes eat leaves that are probably 20 feet off the ground; therefore, they have a high fiber diet.


  2. plants not only are producers (make food/pollen for other animals to eat) but they also preform photsynthisis which transforms sunlight, water and carbon dioxide CO2 (a greenhouse gas that causes global warming) into breathable oxygen and sugar

    they also provide ground cover and habitat for animals along with erosion protection...

  3. Plants are producers.  They make the organic matter that is consumed by other animals.  Some animals eat these animals and the organic mater is passed onto these predators.
