What is the role of tools to differenciate man at diferent stages of Homoerectus, Homosapiens and Cultivators?

Human beings are tool making primates and have used different types of tools, instruments and implements at different stages of civilisation. As "we" progressed from Homo erectus, to Homo heidelbergensis, to the Homo sapiens stages, our tools became more complex...
