What is the role of tools to differenciate man at diferent stages of Homoerectus, Homosapiens and Cultivators?

Human beings are tool making primates and have used different types of tools, instruments and implements at different stages of civilisation. Are these materials responsible for evolution of man & civilisation besides its thrust to change social and economic anthropology.     An interesting note here...The first garment ever worn by a Homonin (Not  an ape), is believed to have been a belt, on which to carry tools, for cutting meat, fruit, cracking nuts and starting fires...
