What is the rope/swing called when they clean/paint a tall building?

I need to rent one of these but I cant find the name, if you can link a picture better. Thanks!

  1. Common name is a bosun's chair.  Originally used on ships to paint the masts.

    Why rent one?  All you need is a board for the seat and a good rope, preferably running through a block from the top of the building.


  2. its called a boatsun's chair or a boatsain's chair. But i dont think you can rent them.

  3. Called a swingstage, ropefall or Bosun Chair (Bosun is made for 1 man and he sits on it)

    If your going to rent any one of these make sure you are certified to operate one they are extremely dangerous
