  6. "On My Own" from the broadway musical Les Miserables

Although there are a lot of sad songs out there, this one has to be the saddest I've ever heard.  I remember the first time I heard it, I was on the highway driving home from work and was crying so hard I actually had to pull off the road.

  10. I have a couple since I listen to this kind of stuff a lot lol:

Michael Buble- Home (Distance seperating him from loved one)

Augustana- Boston (Moving away to start a new beginning; to get away from current trials in tribulations...A place where no one knows my name)

Evanescence- My Immortal (It's When You Feel Like You've Dwelled On Someone That's Gone For Way Too Long And You Feel Almost Haunted By The Memory And It's When You're At The Point You're Not Wishing They Were Back Anymore But Asking For The Presence To Leave You)

Blue October- Hate Me (Saying sorry to his mother because of his alcohol/drug. Mother passed away in video)

The Verve Pipe- The Freshman (Lead singer wrote about his ex-gf who went through a teen pregnancy. Then she overdosed on Valium to commit suicide)

Blink 182- I Miss You (Missing a loved one that's passed away)

Ryan Cabrera- True (Liking someone so much, but not knowing if the person feels the same)

Dashboard Confessional- Screaming Infidelities (Girl Broke Up with Guy, but he can't move on; Where'd it go wrong)

Dashboard Confessional- This Bitter Pill (Multiple/unclear meanings; very deep song)

Fort Minor- Where'd You Go (Father left family)

Secondhand Serenade- Fall For You (Going through the hardest part of a relationship where they're always arguing; but he wants to work it out and fall in love with her again)

Leona Lewis- Better In Time (Moving on. It's going to hurt, but it'll all get better in time)

I have more, but these are some good ones that I currently listen to. :-)

  11. Concrete Angel by Martina McBride is really sad.

When You're Gone by Avril Lavigne is pretty sad too. The video makes it even sadder.
