  1. Well,I don't know if you watch the show or not, but the saddest I have gotten during a scene on t.v. was when Charlie from Lost died.  He was my favorite character on the show, in part because he was in Lord Of The Rings,  but it was so sad to see him willingly drowned to help save the survivors on the island.  Though he hadn't said it, you knew he was in love with Claire and would never see her or her baby Aaron again.  Seeing him floating in there definitely got me choked up.

  2. Two good examples have already been mentioned - Schlindler's List & Molly from "A country practice".

Another sad scene/episode is from MASH (which was a great TV series). Colonel Henry Blake had been allowed to go back home & had a big going away party and last good-byes.

Later on, whilst all the staff are in surgery, Radar walks in quite nervously & tells everyone that Henry's plane had been shot down over the sea of Japan and that there were no survivors. The room goes silent, til the business of war takes over & they get back to their operations.

Henry had a wife & a daughter (whom he had never met) waiting for him at home - rather sad.

    --------------------------------------...

Edit - and the final episode "Goodbye, Farewell and Amen" is worthy of note.

Hawkeye, who had always been the joker of the bunch, let the war really get to him at the end.

Everybody had to say their last good-byes as they were to go back to their "normal" lifes back home.

Alot of friendships came to a parting - the promise of meeting again in the US being an uncertainty.

  3. Titanic i'm sure  you've  watched it before.

  4. For me in Bridge to Terabithia. When Leslie die...it's so sad that scene but I can't really explain why, it's just the situation that let you feel something. I never cry for movies but this one was really touching.

  5. There was a series in Australia called A COUNTRY PRACTICE.

It was set in a small fictional New South Wales country town they'd called Wandin Valley.

It followed a variety of characters in the town including the doctors and nurses, vets, police officers, the plumber / handyman, the club (bar, restaurant, social club, hotel) manager and staff, town gossip etc.

One of the fave characters - Molly (Anne Tenney) - had been diagnosed with leukemia.  She was lying on this couch her husband had put out the back garden (the size of a small paddock mind you!) so she could watch him and their daughter fly a kite.

Last thing you see before fading out is the husband seeing her fading running towards her running yelling her name.

Oh boy was it so sad!

  6. The saddest scene I've ever watched was when jennifer love hewitt died in "If Only". i cried :(

  7. In the movie "Heart & Souls", the scene where the 4 ghosts have to say goodbye to the little boy, Thomas, because their being around him is causing problems for his family. They realize that he needs to be raised by his mommy and daddy, so they decide to "go invisible" so he can't see them anymore. The little boy is heartbroken and is crying, and they all have tears as they say goodbye to him, because they had been with him since he was a baby, so he was like their own kid. Pretty soon, they all have disappeared, and the little boy is balling, desperately calling out their names, but there's no answer. This part makes me cry every time I watch it.

  8. Titanic. I watched it when I was young so I cried the first time. It was really messed up how he died like that.

  9. The scene at the end of Schindler's List (spoilers coming) where Oskar Schindler is crying because he thought he could have saved more jews from the n***s.
