I have an evaluation that shows that some fountains have 1 ppm manganese concentration, and I want to be sure of drinking it.

  1. 1mg/L = 1ppm

For aesthetic reasons 0.05 is the limit to prevent issues like staining , taste and odor issues.

There isn't an EPA standard inplace yet for upper level concentrations.   However in the referenced link .84 is a recommended interim  limit for health.
