I got a negative feedback from the rodent section on this . YES I AM BREEDING RATS. YES i will be feeding them to a snake. NO I do not feel bad.

What is the safest age to breed rats? I got 3 from a pet store but I am not sure how old they are. They are about 6 inches long not including tail. I have 1 male and 2 females.

How old do you think they are?

  1. Breeding age is about 10 monthes :) so, depending on how old they are.... I'd say to at least wait until she's a 1-2 inches bigger. (To breed)

  2. They can easily breed at a few months of age. You don't need to wait 10 months like the first answerer said.
