Yes! Subarus are terrific cars for Alaskans. However, when looking for a larger car like an SUV, I would recommend a Honda Pilot. They have 7 seats, AWD, VTM lock, and terrific handling. They also have one of the best crash test ratings for SUV's. Good Luck with finding the right car.

id say a subaru. just because they have always had 4 wheel drive and have always been more worried about the safety of their vehicles than the flashy-ness of them. but i personally think subarus have started to look a lot better over the past few years.
