What is the safest way to watch a solar eclipse?

There's this solar eclipse approaching and I've heard u shudnt see it with bare eyes.Any suggestions????

On the web.  There's absolutely no danger from your computer monitor.

But the real experience is to go to China, and hang out with the astronomers in the Gobi desert.  There's a good chance that it will be clear.  And there will be tons of astronomers who will tell you exactly what to expect and do.

With a pinhole camera, but if you're in the USA, you won't see it anyway. All but a small part of Maine is outside of the path of totality.
