In MOST daycares, all you need is early childhood certification OR associates degree in early childhood education, and sometimes, if you are working there from the time you ar 18, you can become head teacher within a year or two ith NO certification. In NY They pay very little. The MOST I have ever seen in NY is $11 dollars an hour, and that was with a Master's degree!
