  1. Berkeley has a pretty good MBA program so chances of you getting a job are pretty high compared to average business schools. My buddy who graduated from Berkeley about 7 years ago is doing pretty well for himself. When he got out, he got a job with Morgan Stanley He was making about $90,000 at that time but right now he's working for Proctor and Gamble making about $150,000 a year. This might not be true for everyone because this guy is probably the smartest guy I've ever met. This guy knows about everything. If you ask him something, he'll know at least the basics about it. He's a well rounded guy. I believe he got a upper position job at Morgan Stanley right out of school was because his dad is pretty "up there" at Morgan Stanley. I believe he's about to leave his six figure salary to start his own consulting business. I suggest you start interning at big corporations to built up experience because that would look good on your resume. Good luck.

  2. Berkeley is one of the best schools in the country. With a degree from UCLA, another top school, you should do very well. You imply that you have previous work experience, which will help. MBA programs don't expect business experience, but they do prefer students with work experience. Any work experience is business experience because you learned responsibility, observed others at work, worked under a supervisor, made decisions, earned money, etc. You share those experiences with your classmates.

Look in the Official MBA Guide, a free public service, to see how much Berkeley MBAs earned upon graduation.  You can use it to send a pre-application to Berkeley. a pre-application sent by a prospective student through the Official MBA Guide can impress the receiving school.
