  1. Hello my friend!

The pay of a pilot is not really good the first few years. You basically need to build some good time working to be paid much better. Im pretty sure the pay of an Electrical Engineer is not the best on the first years either.

However, the money spent for a career in aviation is much more than what you would spend in Electrical Engineering. You need to pay for about 250 Hours of Training in small airlplanes (about 35,000$ in a Regular Flight School). But remember, to be a pilot it does not matter what kind of degree you get or where you get it, as long as it is a Bachelor Degree.

My Advice: Get a Bachelor in Electrical Engineering, and go to a Local Flight School to get your ratings (Private Pilot License, Instrument Rating, Commercial Pilot License and Multi Engine Rating). With all these and a few hours of experience, you are in. No doubt about it. The industry of aviation has never been better than today.

    Hope this helps!

    Jose.

  2. well it starts out bad like any other job but when you get to be captain it get better from there. when you start flying some 737s or 777s or something the pay will just shoot up like 200,000 a year
