I think The Silence of the Lambs is still the most frightening book I have ever read-actually much more frightening than the movie.

I have read all of Stephen King and most of John Saul, James Herbert and many other Horror wroters and I seem to be immune! The more scary the better!

It's a toss-up between Stephen King's The Shining and Robert Block's Psycho. Both authors totally know the tricks to creating bone-chilling tales.

when i was younger "It" by Stephen King, the clown was so scary. Now "The Ruins" by Scott Smith, the vines are so creepy and the writing is really good.

"Dreamcatcher" by Stephen King scared the c**p out of me. I had to keep putting it down and going back to it later. I love his books and a lot of them have been scary but, that one really got me!
