The scariest thing i have ever experienced was when I was 17, I was a big surfer because I lived in hawaii for a long time and I was surfing one day when the waves was really calm, and getting ready to storm...welll, being stupid, I kept on sufing...I noticed that no-one was in the water but me. I was really far out there too and too find out the life guard was yelling get out of the water, get out of the water, well...I was too far out there to make it in to shore so I carefuly started to get on my board when I felt something push onto the bottom of my board. I movd my board to see what it was and i seen to black eyes looking straight into mine, it was a great white...about 17ft. long....I started to panic because I started to see a bunch of fins swimming straight for me. Next thing I new i was under the water....next thing I knew I wsa at a local hospital. to find out, my arm was bitten, my leg was severly injured and the side of my face had to have 34 stitches.

  3. when i was playing water polo i was drowned by a girl who was pissed at me for not letting her near the ball. so she pushed me and kept me under water. finally i guess the ball got turned over and she kicked me in the chest and scratched my arm really deep. i still have a scar where i was scratched....i wasnt actually able to get a full breath after i was pulled from the water....but your experience is much scarier

  4. omg, that must have been really scary :l i cant think of a scary thing that has happened to me.... :l

  5. I remember when I was like 4 or 5 years old, I went to the pool with my daddy. He sat me on the shallow end of the pool, you know, so that my feet were in the water. He told me not to move and that he was gonna swim a few laps in the pool and that he'll be back to get me. Well I was sitting there (from what my daddy told me) then all of a sudden, my dad was turning around in the pool to come back my way. When he looked to see what I was doing, all he saw was black hair floating on top of the water! My dad said he never swam so quick. He got me out of the water and the lifeguard was performing mouth to mouth to me. My father said he had never been so terrified all his life. Neither was I! That's probably the reason I can't swim today.

  6. have spent a lot of time at the beach usually in a wet suit as you get cold and burnt--- not as scary as your experience --- it was also too rough to go boating so we used the inflatable to surf--- lots of fun ----however as we submerged I panicked and didn't know which way was up or down lots of bubbles as the water was turbulent. Luckily my husband grabbed my ankle and hauled me up....saved but a bit shocked as being a good swimmer I had been caught unawares and suprised and scared how quickly disaster can happen !

  7. Frightening encounter.  Although if I had my choice, I'd rather encounter a Great White in Hawaii than at Ocean Beach in San Francisco where the water is murky and cold.  You might have a better chance seeing it coming.  I'd worry more about tiger sharks than the great white, although sitings are not as rare as most might think... here is actual footage of a great white in the waters off Hawaii...
