Although I don't live in Houston, the lists for grade 9 students are generally the same:

A scientific calculator

4-5 binders (no duo-tangs)* especially if you're semestered

College ruled line paper (5-6 150 sheet packages)

A lock (if your school doesn't supply them)

A pencil box with red and black/blue pens, pencils, pencil crayons

A protractor/compass set

Some classes may give you specific lists regarding what to bring, and will give you a week to have all the needed supplies.

I'm not real sure. The school might do what my high school does. I live in north Texas, btw. We just get our supply list on the 1st day of school. You could also call the school or go up there.

when ur in hs they dont give you a list

just go to school w/ 2 binders some pens and pencils and ur teachers will tell you what to get on the first day
