  1. It's Siamese ginger.  [Galanga, Galanga major, Galangal, Greater galanga, Languas, Laos root, Siamese ginger, Spice ginger.]

    Sup Udang Pedas (Tom Yum Goong) is a Thai soup.

    Links are provided below.  Problem is that the only Recipe I could find is in Malay or Indonesian Bahasha.
