  1. homosapien

  2. I thought it was Home Sapiens sapiens?  Is that wrong?

  3. Homo-sapiens.   Homo-erectus, Neanderthal, and Cro-magnon,among others, are our predecessors.

  4. Rmtatlga has it right.

We modern humans are Homo Sapien Sapien as differentiated from Homo Sapien Neanderthalensis.

Neanderthal was not our ancestor but lived until about 50,000, maybe even until about 30,000 years ago in Europe at the same time as the newly arrived Cro Magnon or modern man, basically…us.

Homo Sapienn Sapien extincted Neanderthal but we didn’t do it on purpose. When our ancestors arrived from what we today call Eastern Europe, we arrived with a more advanced neocortex that processed information differently than Neanderthal. Essentially, we were smarter.

Anthropologists named modern man Cro Magnon as a convenient way to differentiate those remains from Neanderthal because the two species co-existed but Cor Magnon was us.

Actually Neander had a larger brain than we do and was stronger with larger bones. It was our brain that made us able to survive and out last the subspecies that preceded us in Europe.

The habit of early scientists to assume that Cro Magnon ceased about 10,000 to 8,000 BCE was erroneous. We are still here. Now we have language and writing neither of which existed 10,000 years ago.

But the species was then Homo Sapien Sapien and it still is today. In fact, all us modern humans are the same species whether we are black, white, have slanted eyes or whatever; there is only one race on the planet; it is us, Homo Sapien Sapien, the Human Race.

  5. Itsn't it Homosapien

  6. We are homo sapiens.  Cro-magnon man was similar, and also called homo sapiens.  If a cro-magnon was alive today, I don' t know if you'd be able to tell the difference.  Cro-magnons lived up until 10,000 years ago, so from an evolutionary standpoint there might not be that much difference.

  7. Homo sapiens

  8. Genus/Species :

    Homo sapiens

    Common name:

    Cro-Magnon man

    Description:

A Homo sapiens, Cro-Magnon man. Cro-Magnon man, an anatomically modern human lived around 30,000 years ago in the Dordogne region of France. Fossils were discovered in 1868.
