  1. I wouldn't go for anything in "nanotechnology".  The field is relatively small and ill-defined.  In particular, nanotechnology is a buzz word.  That is, something that sounds neat and interesting, but is really... empty.  Some smaller universities started offering degrees in nanotechnology to try to build up their images, but as I already stated, the field is small and ill-defined.  The coursework for these degree programs is lacking, and frequently very hypothetical.  Unfortunately, some larger universities decided that since the small universities were offering it, then it must be a valid course of study, and also started offering it.

What would be a LOT better is a Master of Engineering in Materials Science, a field that includes nanotechnology as a sub-field.  In the US, we do not have a Master of Technology, so I do not know how it compares to a Master of Engineering.  My guess is that one is more coursework oriented while the other is more research oriented?  If you actually want to work with nanotechnology, then I would suggest getting the research oriented degree as a foundation for a Ph.D, either in Materials Science and Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or Physics.  If you want to study applications, get one of the engineering Ph.Ds.  If you want to study the basic science, get the Chemistry or Physics Ph.D.
