  1. the value depends on what you have and how clean it is

copper wire covering on $3.00 lb

    copper wire no covering/clean$4.25 lb

copper pipe solder and other debris $3.00 lb

copper pipe relatively clean $4.00-$4.75 lb

  2. a dead one or a live one.  on or off duty.

  3. Very high at the moment. What have you got?

  4. High enough that idiots have been electrocuted trying to steal it from electrical substations.

And then their families sue the power company for electrifying all that d**n copper.  Crazy.

  5. High enough for some silly berk from Newport to give himself the shock of his life last week. He took 11,000 volts from a sub-station. Needless to say he didn't get to weigh it in. . . he just checked out.

  6. At this moment, copper is currently running $3.94/lb.  I posted a link for you below.

  7. bright wire £3500/tonne wow! 3 times what it was a couple of years ago.
