What is the season in Europe right now?

I know it's spring/almost summer here in the U.S., but I caught a new episode of one of my favorite shows placed in Europe- And everyone was dressed like it was 20 degrees.

Then, I have a friend that lives in France, and they have a new picture up of SNOW.

So is it winter over there?

Europe is in the same season cycle as the U.S.  When it's summer here, it's summer there.  When it's winter here, it's winter there.  The only place it's a different season as the U.S. is in the lower hemisphere.  They have opposite seasons in comparison to the upper hemisphere.
