Question:

What is the secret to nails that STAY ON?!?

I occasionally do acrylic nails and design in my home, and for some reason I cannot seem to find the right glue for the nail tips. They keep coming off after a few days. I lightly file the top of the nail to give the glue a surface to cling to, add some Prep n Clean, and then the primer. Then I line up the nail tip, glue, and start the acrylic process. They never stay like they do in the salon! What am I doing wrong? I prefer professionals answer this question unless you absolutely know what the problem is. Thanks!

  1. super glue?

  2. I always use Super Glue for press on nails.  It works fantastic, and they come off when you leave your hands in water a long time, or rub them with acetone polish remover.  Actually use the brush on Super Glue in the hardware section of the store.  It does work!
