What is the secret to this magic trick?

The trick goes like this... Someone gets in to a box just big enough to fit them. Them the door is shut and they break that into about 3 or 4 boxes. Sometimes they even open it to show the persons different body parts scattered in the seperate boxes.

How do they do this!?!?!

The person is in only one of these boxes.  Usually the head section.  Sometimes, part of their body will be down into the base/table that the boxes are resting on.

The middle section just has a "dummy" body and so does the foot section.  Although, sometimes (in David Copperfield's trick) the feet move.  In this case, they're robotic.
