  1. What is it?  It is an enertia activated sensor.  In some vehicles, the sensor is located on the tunnel of the vehicle and is also the ignitor.  Other vehicles have sensors located in the front of the vehicle near or a part of the front bumper attatchments.  In the case of vehicles having side air bags/curtains, there are sensors in the door.  In one case, the door cavity is the active part of the sensor, and a sudden change in the air pressure in the door cavity will activate the side air bag.

  2. There are two sensors needed (for safety reasons) One is the "safeing sensor", an inertia sensor (the vehicle must be moving before it will allow deployment) and crash sensors (mounted to the front frame)

  3. AIR BAG CRASH SENSORS

  4. obiously is the air bag sensor.... it might be located below the radiator or in front of it. if u dont want ur air bag to pop out take the fuse out.
