i hear 55 mill 56 mill but i do not know what it is for sure. also can you go over the cap to an extent.

  3. It is 56 million dollars and no you can't otherwise you forfeit the games you are over the cap in and may pay the NHL some fine. I'm not 100% sure but I think you have to pay a fine, but I know that you forfeit your games until you can get below the cap and they don't care if you go a cent over.
