Look at the prescription label.  They sometimes have a "use by" date on them.  When did you get the prescription originally?  Take this into consideration.  Also call you pharmacist or doctor if there is ANY questions about  a med.

Just out of curiosity:  This is a med prescribe for you?  I hope that you are not taking a med that someone else has had in their medicine cabinet for awhile.  

It is illegal to do so, even if you are looking to save money or if you are sure that this med will work for you.  But more then that, it can be VERY dangerous to do so.  A problem can really be intensified  by taking a med that you are not sure what it is.

Hey, I know what its like.  I am a real miser and try to use something that I have already paid for but that I have let set for awhile.  I've gotten myself into a lot of trouble, though, doing that.
