  1. YES..  1 down .. 4 up...   unless the bikes been on the race track... or some one who had the bike before changed the shift to a race set up...

    then it would be backwards..  1 up .. 4 down..

    they do this so that you can change down gears when your leaned over a long way..(Not enough room under the shift lever to get your toes in there).. so you can just push it down one...

  3. Ye one down four up. Most everything Ive  ever ridden is like that, but i know for sure the Honda is because i used to have one.

  4. Starting in Neutral, it would be ONE DOWN, and 4 UP.

    You have to go a lot farther back before they get to be strange shifters.

    We had a lot of guys in town that wore a Shirt that said DON"T SHOOT ME

    I'm ONLY Shifting Gears.

    Some cop claimed he had seen a suspicious motion of his hand (side shift on an old INDIAN,) and blown him away, just for riding down the road.

    You don't get fun like that anymore.
