  1. The only things that are worth buying are the swiss knife, chocolates (especially with truffles) and swatches.  Other brands are too expensive cause they're the latest model.  The little souveniors are really cute, eg; the bell (the one supposedly hang at cows neck--all their cows wear that--nice sound).  The music box caught my eyes but can't afford.  Cuckoo clock too.. not worth it to buy, i think... (made in china is cheaper.. heh heh).  oh ya.. can buy grappa.

  2. Lucerne is so sick...theres a lot of chocolate shops that are ridiculously good, and lots of watch stores that are apparently really well priced (but its not like u can get a real rolex for 100$, its just like 4-500$ less than if u bought it in the states)  theres also a bunch of beautiful restaurants rite on the lake and the people were the nicest i found in europe...u should also take the mountain train thats just out of town...the swiss alps are incredible and theres some cool hiking and some shops and restaurants on top of the mountain.  theres also a lot of touristy shopping in town if thats youre thing.  i know i didnt talk solely about the shopping, but if ur going to lucerne, i honestly doubt youre main reason for going there is the shopping.  i love it there i want to go back.

  3. The shopping is great in Lucerne, but be prepared to pay through the nose.  Even for Switzerland, it's expensive there, and that's saying a lot.

Stick to chocolate and swatches, would be my advice.

  4. If you don't have one where you are be sure to go to H&M, C&A, Mango and Zara. Globus is good too but can be expensive. Esprit has a great store in Lucerne. Fun stuff - clothes, shoes, accessories, etc.

  5. i don't know what you like

good things are for example Swatch watches (new summer 2007 collection)

    Swiss Army knife

Swiss chocolate (for this you can go also to the big swiss retailer Migros, the quality is as good as in an expensive chocolaterie but far cheaper)

don't buy cuckoo clocks and the like, this is c**p imo.
