Question:

What is the short cut key to open a new tab on IE6?

On IE7 it is possible to just press the key "Ctrl+link" to open a new tab for the page link you click (on one screen only). but with IE6, i cannot use that process nor can't find the process to do same. do you have an idea? if someone could help, i would gladly appreciate it & will thank you in advance.

    OK. First, when was "tabbing" invented for IE?

    - With IE7. In 2006 or 2007. Can't remember which at the moment...

    Second, When was IE6 released as a FINAL RELEASE? (no more changes)

    - Around 2005... maybe 2006...

    Has anyone reading this question ever HEARD of IE6 tabbed browsing?

  4. There is NO TABBING on IE6.

    So there is no shortcut key.

  5. IE6 doesn't have tabs unless you install a plugin.
