  1. The fastest flight time ever recorded was 44 hours and 6 minutes.  David J Springbett  flew 23,068 miles from Los Angles via London, Bahrain, Singapore, Bangkok, Manila, Tokyo and Honolulu Jan 8-10, 1980.

The first person reputed to have walked around the world was George Matthew Schilling, an American, from 1897 to 1904.

The British walker Fyona Campbell gained a place in the Guinness Book of Records as the first woman to walk around the world, but lost it later when she "confessed that she had cheated by accepting occasional lifts".

  3. What is "around the world"? Is it traveling directly over the equator the whole time? walking around the south pole? This question can't be answered unless you give specifics like from one destination to another via some place.
