What is gardisil shot for woman for....? Why do woman get it?

Gardasil is a shot given to girls who are or are ever going to be sexually active. It prevents the spread of the Human Papilloma Virus (HPV ie genital warts) that can lead to cervical cancer in women if left untreated. You do not need to be sexually active to receive it, and abstaining from sexual activity is the best way to prevent the spread of STDs.
