  1. It's a traditonsteepedd inhomosexualityy. Remember the Marines are a branch of the Navy and 4 out of 5 people in the Navy are said to be active homosexuals.

  2. In response to the idiot above:

4 out of 5 Sailors are said to be homosexuals?!?!???  Where the heck did you get that stat? If that is the case, then all sailors I have ever met have been the fifth one...get real. The morons on here are so stereotypical.

Oh and Tiki, people trading dogtags could, in this day and age be a g*y thing-minimal, but more than likely it is a bondship of plutonic, brotherly love...much like when two friends cut their own hands and shake hands to be "blood brothers." It is bonding. Being in the military creates a comaraderie unmatched anywhere, by any organization...only cops and firemen could begin to understand.

  3. I have been in almost 6 years and haven't seen guys giving each other dog tags. I gave my fiancee mine and lots of guy's give them to their girls. Honestly I think if that got around the other Marines would give them h**l, I know I would. He wouldn't be able to live it down. Kinda weird, but maybe they are just really good friends and have been through some **** together.

  4. that's just something between them.

  5. idk much about marines but im guessing its kinda like an army tradition we have. where we give our battle buddies letters to send home to our families in case we die. seriously tho its the greatest sign of trust that one soldier can show the other.
