  1. It denotes the manifestation of God's presence in the person

    or man who's manefesting it! and also denotes the higher

    evolution of the spirit!-

    this is also some information about halos;

    A halo ( also known as a nimbus, glory, or gloriole)is a ring of light that surrounds a person. They are often used in religious works to depict holy or sacred figures. In Hellenistic Greek, Roman, Buddhist and Christian sacred art, sacred persons may be depicted with a halo in the form of a golden, yellow or white circular glow around the head, or a gloriole around the whole body.

  2. A halo in artwork signifies the presense of God. Angels, Jesus, Mary and Saints are often depicted in artwork as having halos.

  3. A halo is a visible sign of the life force or spiritual energy that surrounds the human body.  It has been used in religious representations to indicate a very spiritual person.  Their spiritual energy is so strong that it becomes visible with the naked eye.

    Some people are able to see an aura around living things, including human beings, which is a reflection of the life force of the living entity.  The aura can have different characteristics including different textures, intensity or brightness, and color.  The different characteristics of the aura indicate the stregnth and character of the life force of the individual.  Sickness can be seen in the aura before it is manifested in the physical body and the color of the aura will change as the physical or spiritual well being of the individual changes.

    The halo represented in most religious images is a bright, clean, consistent, yellow (nearly white) energy.  This is the representation of a healthy and strong individual who has a clear sense of self and a vibrant spiritual life.  I hope this information is helpful.

  4. It is meant to indicate divinity or holiness in religious art.

  5. Means he's a Master Chief?

    Sorry.

    Yeah, some kind of Divinity, be it sainthhood, a blessing, things like that.

  6. Could become the Saint.

  7. Depends on the era and context, really.

    In greek and asian arts, the halo was a flat disk and not a ring. The greek's used it to depict heros during battle scenes and the like.

    The Buddha is sometimes shown with a halo, although orthadox Buddhists will know he was not a god of any type.

    Christian seems to favor the ring than the disk but art includes triangular halos to symbolise the holy trinity and square symbols to...er...because certain popes thought theyd would selflessly immortalise themselves with one.

    Evidently, it suggests divinity or at the very least supremecy.

    It is sometimes rumoured that sculptors sculpted elevated halos onto their masterpieces to protect them from weathering and this was misinterpreted. But...massively unlikely :P
