Any type of food (I love them all). Preferably a place with good value e.g. less than £50 per person. Thank you!

  1. MOST around Covent Garden fall into that category?

  2. the blue elephant in fulham broadway its thai but its not cheap!

  3. Try Ramsays in Hospital Road, Chelsea. One of the top restaurants in the world.  Three course lunch is £40 but you are looked after like a king. Down side is you have to book two months in advance. An experience not to be missed. You could also try his new place a few yards up the road called Foxtrot Oscar. Still need to book but not so far ahead. Look up the menu on the internet.

  4. Sarastro's in Covent Garden is fabulous!!  It's near the Drury Lane opera house, and youoften (specially on a Monday) get free sessions by the singers.  Wacky decor (the loos are something else!)  and will come in at about £45 for a 3-course meal per person.  Or try Fire and Stone, also in Covent Garden.  It's a very nice traditional pizza place with a wonderful menu, and really good pizzas on offer.  All made from scratch, no frozen stuff here!

  5. Hiya Dan! For me, the best value restaurant in London (with excellent food too) has to be MEM & LAZ which is in Islington (just off Upper Street). The address is 8 Theberton Street, Islington, N1 OQZ. The food is fresh, tasty and good value for money. The staff are charming and friendly and I know for a fact that the fish is fresh - Mem gets up at 3.00am to get it himself! x So if you fancy Turkish with a twist - go to see Mem and Laz - you won't be disappointed! They do beautiful seafood linguine, fresh sardines and all sorts of lovely things - they really have a huge menu so you will be spoilt for choice, but not hit for six in your pocket! Give them a try - they're really ace! :o) xx

EDIT: The fresh tuna steaks there are absolutely gorgeous and I always have the sardines for starters - simple and cooked beautifully - My big bro always has the seafood linguine xx Quality food at excellent prices - you wont be disappointed :o) xx

  6. The French House

    49 Dean Street, London W1D 5BG

    Phone: 020 7437 2477

A cosy, atmospheric resturant in the heart of Soho. It is typical of the places Soho is famus for. Litery and theatrical people come here still as they did many years ago.

Lovely food and a good selection of wine. It will come in at less than £50 per person. This is my favourite restuarant in the UK!!

    You will need to book.

Thanks Ruby Soh- I have made a note of your recommendation!!!
